Easy DIY Super Bowl Foods
Beer Cheese
Ingredients:
- 2 ½ TBSP cornstarch
- 1 cup evaporated milk, divided (½ cup + ½ cup)
- 1 can beer of your choice
- 1 TBSP brown mustard
- 2 ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- 3 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 TBSP chives
- Pretzels for serving
Instructions:
- On medium heat, whisk the cornstarch and one part of the milk until the texture is well combined with a smooth texture.
- Add the beer and the rest of the milk. Stir and bring the temp up to medium-high, allowing the mixture to reach a boil.
- Cook for about one minute, stirring to prevent scorching, until the mixture is thick.
- Mix in the brown mustard, W-sauce, and paprika, whisking until well combined.
- Lower the heat to low. Incorporate the cheese, stirring until melted.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve the beer cheese dip in a serving bowl with chives and pretzels.
Bacon-Wrapped Jalapenos
Ingredients:
- 1 block of cream cheese, softened
- 2 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
- 2 TBSP minced garlic
- Salt and pepper
- 12 fresh jalapenos
- 12 slices of bacon, cut into halves
Oven Preparation
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with a parchment paper lining.
- Combine the cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, and garlic. Mix them well.
- Season the cheese mixture with salt and pepper.
- Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise.
- Remove the seeds, wash, and pat dry.
- Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap a piece of bacon around each stuffed jalapeno half.
- Place the jalapenos on the baking sheet and bake for about 35 minutes until the bacon is crisped.
Air Fryer Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and prepare the air fryer basket with parchment paper or silicone liner.
- Combine the cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, and garlic. Mix them well.
- Season the cheese mixture with salt and pepper.
- Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise.
- Remove the seeds, wash, and pat dry.
- Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
- Wrap a piece of bacon around each stuffed jalapeno half.
- Cook the jalapenos in a single layer in the air fryer basket for about 10 minutes. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to work in batches.
