Redner’s To Close Trexlertown Warehouse Market
Reading, Pa. – Company officials have announced the closing of Redner’s Warehouse Market in
Trexlertown. Opened in 1990, the store is located within Trexlertown Plaza Shopping Center and will
close at 6 pm on September 26, 2015. All full and part time employees (74) will be given assignments at other Redner’s locations within the region and no associates will lose their job based upon the nonrenewal.
“The lease on this location has ended and we did not feel that a renewal of said lease would prove
to be beneficial nor profitable in the foreseeable future. We have been happy to provide the Trexlertown community with our shopping experience for 25 years. We feel that closure was the best option as we focus our energies on stores with positive growth in the other stores within Lehigh County and as we expand into new markets,” said Ryan Redner, chief operating officer.
Trexlertown Plaza is owned by Cedar Realty Trust, Inc. of Port Washington, Pa.
Redner’s Markets, Inc., an employee owned company, currently operates 45 Grocery Stores and
21 Quick Shoppes throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Redner’s is committed to supporting the community in which each Grocery Store and Quick Shoppe is located through a variety of supportive partnerships and enrichment programs. Redner’s continually strives to provide the lowest prices, freshest product and the outstanding service our customers have come to expect for 45 years.
